Rating Methodology

How We Rate

Every operator in our rankings is evaluated against four Android-specific pillars. This methodology ensures our recommendations reflect real-world performance on the devices you actually use, not theoretical best-case scenarios.

01

Android Compatibility

We test each operator's Aviator implementation on three tiers of Android hardware: budget devices (2GB RAM, Android 10+), mid-range (4-6GB RAM, Android 12+), and flagships (8GB+, Android 14). An operator must deliver stable gameplay on mid-range devices to earn our recommendation.

What We Measure

  • Chrome WebGL frame rate across device tiers
  • Touch-to-cash-out latency in milliseconds
  • Screen rendering on displays from 5.5" to 6.8"
  • Portrait and landscape orientation support
  • PWA installation capability via Chrome
02

APK Safety

Many operators distribute sideloaded APKs that bypass Google Play Protect scanning. We verify whether an operator's mobile offering works through Chrome (safest), offers a legitimate Play Store app, or requires sideloading. Operators requiring sideloading receive a penalty in our safety score.

What We Check

  • Play Store availability and publisher verification
  • APK permission requests (flagging contacts, SMS, phone access)
  • Chrome-based PWA as primary mobile experience
  • SSL certificate validity and HSTS headers
  • Third-party tracker and ad SDK presence
03

Google Pay Integration

Google Pay is the fastest and most secure deposit method for Android users. We time the full deposit flow from button tap to balance update, verify NFC tokenization is active, and confirm biometric authentication is required before each transaction.

What We Verify

  • End-to-end deposit time (target: under 8 seconds)
  • NFC tokenization active (card number never shared)
  • Biometric or PIN authentication enforced
  • Withdrawal method availability and processing time
  • Alternative Android payment methods supported
04

Battery Efficiency

A poorly optimized web app can drain your battery in under an hour. We profile each operator's Aviator implementation for CPU wake locks, excessive background polling, and inefficient animation loops that consume power unnecessarily.

What We Profile

  • 30-minute session battery consumption (target: under 12%)
  • RAM usage and memory leak detection
  • Background CPU activity when tab is inactive
  • Network request frequency and payload sizes
  • Compatibility with Android Battery Saver mode

Scoring Formula

Each pillar contributes equally to the final score, weighted at 25% each. An operator must score at least 7.0 in every individual pillar to be included in our rankings. This prevents a casino with excellent payment speed but poor device compatibility from earning an artificially high overall rating.

Passing Threshold

Minimum 7.0 per pillar, minimum 7.5 overall. Operators below this threshold are excluded from our rankings entirely, regardless of brand recognition or bonus generosity.

Re-Testing Cadence

All ranked operators are re-tested quarterly. Major Android OS updates (annual releases) trigger an immediate full re-test across all three device tiers. Operators that degrade below threshold after an update are temporarily delisted.

Rating Process

Transparent Android Casino Rating at Play Aviator Android

Our four-pillar methodology was developed specifically for Android crash gaming because generic casino review frameworks ignore the platform-level factors that matter most to mobile players. Chrome rendering speed, Google Pay reliability, and battery drain are not optional extras; they directly determine whether your cash-out tap registers in time.

Every benchmark is conducted on physical Android devices, never emulators. We use Chrome DevTools Performance panel for frame rate profiling, Android Studio Profiler for battery and RAM metrics, and manual stopwatch timing for deposit flows. This hands-on approach produces data you can trust.

We publish our scoring methodology openly so players can evaluate our recommendations with full context. If you believe our data for a specific operator is outdated, contact our editorial team and we will prioritize a re-test.
